Latin for Students of French A1

Latin morphology: four conjugations (indicative tenses of the present basis), 1st and 2nd declination (nouns and adjectives), 4th and 5th declination, a selection of interrogative pronouns, personal and possessive pronouns and adjectives, a selection of conjunctions (causal, conditional…) and prepositions (also as prefixes).
Latin syntax: expression of order, independent interrogative clauses; dependent/subordinate clauses: the expression of cause and condition.
Translation: reading and translating of original quotes and simpler short texts (based especially on the Latin vocabulary continued in French lexicon).
Roman civilization and culture: basic review of the historical and geographical framework and of the social, cultural and civilizational atmosphere in antiquity (with stress on the territory of today's France).
