The course Terminology acquaints students with the development of terminology, basic terms of the field, with the importance of international standards and with terminology as an interdisciplinary subject field. Besides that, emphasis is on terminology in practice (terminography), types of terminological dictionaries, information categories in terminological dictionaries, on computer and terminological methodology and practice, terminological databases, terminology and standardization and the role of terminologists in a language service.
