Theoretical background, key concepts and terms, and methodological procedures of generative grammar. The goals of generative grammar as a general linguistic theory.
Generative grammar from the Standard Model to Minimalism.
The Principles-and-Parameters grammar (P&P): the Government and Binding model (GB), and its modules: X-bar theory, Theta theory, Case theory, Binding theory, Control theory, Bounding theory.
Transformations: Head-movement, NP-movement, Wh-movement. Logical Form.
The Minimalist model. Comparison between GB and Minimalism.
